FaunteeWrites. In little over a month, AFWL will be showcasing the best of African designs to the world. How does it feel to be the brain behind this huge event?
Ronke. Uplifting. I feel privileged to be the one but its not without help and support. I have a brilliant team of consultants, experts and advisers. Together we were able to pull off the 2011 event and we hope that 2012 will also be brilliant.
Ronke. Having attended so many African fashion events in New York and around the world, I thought it will be nice to also bring it here to the UK. UK have a lot of Africans in diaspora and each country are doing their own thing. But I wanted to create a an event that will create the platform for every African to showcase their design and express their style.
